The property is just as advertised; lovely! The furnishings are colorful, tropical, and very comfortable. The condo layout is especially great for two couples traveling together with privacy for all. There are large televisions in both bedrooms as well as in the living room. The view is absolutely terrific, we have seen dolphins nearly everyday. We've enjoyed using the barbecue facilities as well as the hot tub and good size pool. There is also a sea-filled pool very nearby, easily visible from the lanai that we haven't used yet. One of my favorite features of the condo is the huge and very comfy bed in our room. I have arthritis and the quality of the mattress is extremely important to me. The full-size laundry washer and dryer are a really great feature and not one you often find in condos. Another really outstanding item is the very efficient central air-conditioning which has made life much more comfortable since we have had some extra warm, humid days. There are two dining areas though we have used the lanai almost exclusively, we did have a dinner party for six one evening and had ample room inside around the dining table and two-three cooks in the kitchen! Krista, the property manager, was very friendly and professional. Her welcome basket of Hawaiian goodies has been much enjoyed. Mike and Terry are enthusiastic and caring owners which is evident throughout their beautiful Hawaiian condo.

Kona by the Sea My husband and I Have stayed at this beautiful condo at least 3 times in the last few years. The view is breath taking.one sees lush plants and foliage,Aqua marine ,clear water, a sandy beach, black lava rock , all with coconut trees against the sky. The sunsets are to die for. One can sit on the Laine and take all of this in. There is a fresh water pool and a salt water pool that is fun to swim in when the waves are high and crashing over the edge. One may stand on the edge, if you are so inclined, and let the waves send you on a fun little ride down the length of the pool. There is a beautiful little beach close enough to walk to that is wonderful for swimming, snorkeling, and turtle watching. There are also many beautiful beaches that are not very far to drive to. Town is very close by with a little free trolley ride to get you too and from in a matter of minutes. The condo is extremely comfortable, and has many artistic touches. The beds are large and comfrey, and the kitchen is well stocked with what ever one needs. There is plenty of room for two couples with lots of privacy with two master suites. The Ocean front master suite has an incredible view, and you can see the ocean from every room in the condo. We love staying in this condo at Kona by the Sea. There is an elevator and carts to carry luggage and groceries.....there are so many things to do and see on the big island. The lava rock makes for great reefs and wonderful snorkeling. We make this beautiful condo our destination as often as we can. We love to play our ukuleles, and there are groups that meet several times a week in the area. They welcome us with an Aloha spirit. A vibrant sunset, a glass of bubblie,and some pupus, ah, what more could anyone ask for. A very happy customer.We will be returning. Cherie

My wife and I stayed here for 5 months in 2012. We loved it so much we returned in 2013 for another 3 months! We loved drinking Kona coffee on the lanai in the mornings and watching the ships, dolphins and whales right in front of us. This condo is very nicely furnished, extremely comfortable and the parking underneath was a great advantage. The sandy area in front was perfect for watching the gorgeous Kona sunsets while enjoying a Mai Tai. We would definitely recommend renting this condo.

My husband, myself and another couple rented this oceanfront condo for the month of March, 2014. We absolutely loved it. It had everything that we were looking for in our first trip to the Big Island. Direct oceanfront with an incredible view. Two separate bedrooms with their own en-suite. One at the front with an ocean view and one at the front with mountain view. Both very private. A fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, pans, coffee maker, plenty of utensils etc. All the convenience of home with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. We loved exploring the island and coming back at the end of the day to watch the amazing Hawaiian sunsets while sitting on the lanai sipping cocktails. Then we'd BBQ supper on one of the 3 BBQ's. We were very impressed that the maintenance were out bright and early every morning cleaning the pool, hot tub and all 3 BBQ's. The BBQ area is well lit with lights at night. The men usually did the BBQ'ing and they quite enjoyed the conversations with other quests while cooking. We'd learn of a new beach to snorkel at or what fish they were catching and where. Some days were just spent relaxing around the pool or sitting on the lanai spotting whales and dolphins. We got some great photos of both right from our lanai. As well as turtles sunning themselves down on the lava rock. There is a market just a few doors down and across the street that we went to a few times shopping for souvenirs. It was so great to have underground parking to keep the rental car out of the sun. There is carts in the garage to put your luggage or groceries on and then head on up the card access only elevator. This was such a convenience. When we first inquired about the condo rental the owners, Terry & Mike, were very prompt in getting back to us and were very agreeable to deal with. We loved it so much that we are already re-booked for another stay in 2015. We can't wait to get there to kick back and relax on the lanai in hopes of catching sight of more whales and dolphins. This condo is such a hidden gem that once the word gets out it will be hard to find available rental time.
