My husband and I stayed at this Condo over the Christmas and New Year period. It is very adequate for two people, and very convenient to visit our family in the area being only a few minutes from them. The area is very nice, there are wonderful walks along the beach, and around Dana Point and Laguna Beach. This whole area is a favorite for us. The apartment complex is gated, the staff there were always very polite. We did not use or check out the pool and spa facilities.

We just love the Dana Point area! Sure it's central between San Diego and LA, but it also has a charm all is own. It's a beautiful, upscale community where the people are kind, the weather is near perfect and the beaches are much less crowded, well-maintained and offer many extra convenient amenities. Having vacationed up and down the coast several times, our family's favorite is Salt Creek Beach... We love that it offers plenty of easy nearby parking in a spacious lot with shade trees, and a short walk or even a shuttle ride right down to the sand. There are gentle waves safe for small children to swim/play in, but big enough for our older boys to surf/boogie board. There's a beautiful grassy park overlooking the ocean with gorgeous covered picnic areas, a basketball court, a paved running/biking trail and sand volleyball. It also has "Zack's" restaurant with decent, reasonably priced food (burgers & fries, sandwiches, nachos, etc.) if you don't want to pack your own. (They even have acai bowls and smoothies!) Of all the beaches in the area, this is by FAR our favorite. It feels very much like a private beach at a high end resort, without the price. This is the same beach the Ritz Carlton guests frequent, so it's very nicely kept. For this reason we looked for a condo nearby. We really enjoyed this unit at Ritz Pointe. It is in a very convenient location in a nicely maintained, secure, gated community with mature plants and trees, a clubhouse with a small but nice pool, as well as a couple of other hot tub spas (one which has an amazing view overlooking the ocean!) and covered parking spots. This unit has been recently updated and is beautifully furnished and well-equipped. We appreciated extras like a pack n' play crib and small umbrella stroller to borrow for our baby daughter, which saved us from having to bring those larger (but necessary!) items from home. There were also boogie boards for our older boys to use, plenty of beach towels, a couple of folding chairs and a beach umbrella. Our boys slept on the pull out sofa bed and found it to be comfortable and easy to store back away. Although we didn't use them much, it was nice to have TVs in both the family room area as well as the master bedroom, although we were unable to get the brand new DVD player to open/work. (No big deal... The boys were so tired from the beach, they would've fallen asleep during a movie anyway!) Betha was very kind and helpful. We had a great time!

Very satisfied, unit very clean and had everything you might need. Very quiet property. Excellent location to beach and many restaurants. I would without question stay there again. It totally filled our needs.
